Is cycling safe in Paris?

The short answer is simply, yes! In recent years the city has transformed into one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world and plans are in motion to make Paris 100% cyclable by 2026.

With more than 1000 km of protected bike paths, the city has become safe and accessible for cyclists who make nearly a million bicycle trips each day in Paris and its suburbs.

Our tours ride on a mix of bike paths and public roads and our trained guides always watch the groups and roads very carefully. We have helmets for under 12s and anyone else who wishes to wear one. If you haven’t experienced Paris by bike before, we’re confident you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
